Yes. The request form is here. Use the link for Freepages Accounts if you want an individual (personal) account or one of the links for a project or society, whichever is appropriate.

How do I upload files to my RootsWeb.com website?

You will need a FTP (File Transfer Protocol) program or you can use RootsWeb.com's file manager program.

FTP is a special type of connection that allows you to transfer files from your computer to RootsWeb.com. You can upload files as well as download them. For FTP FAQs, click here.

If you wish to use the RootsWeb.com file manager, make sure you select the correct file manager for the type of website you have at RootsWeb.com

How can I get my password or Web account info?

If the account is registered to your current e-mail address, use Password Central to retrieve your password.

If the account is registered to an old e-mail address and you cannot receive an e-mail from Password Central, please e-mail accounts@rootsweb.com to have your address updated. Be sure to include

  • Account name or URL of your website
  • Your old e-mail addresses
  • Your new e-mail address

 

What if I need a large amount of Web space?

May I have more than one Freepage?

No. You may have only one account, but you may have as many directories under that account as needed.
