Customize Settings: Regulate the Maximum Size Allowed for a Message Lists are set to a maximum size of 20K; however, you may change that to a different size. Before adjusting the size, consider how it will affect your subscribers. Some service providers and mail programs will convert large messages, such as digest mailings, into an attachment. Almost all will allow messages of 20K (the default setting on List Tools) or less. If you increase the size, you may receive mail from subscribers, asking why they are receiving blank messages (tell them to look for the attachment). Others may find attachments inconvenient. We recommend the maximum message size be smaller than the maximum digest size, another option in this section, for the following reasons:
