Using the List Tools: Blocked Messages

The "Blocked Messages" link on the List Tools allows list administrators to review and forward any incorrectly blocked messages to individuals on their mailing lists. In the past, list administrators have had this capability only via e-mail. In our continuing efforts to aggressively fight spam at RootsWeb.com, this functionality is now available via the Web. Instead of being bombarded with potential spam via e-mail, list administrators can now visit their List Tools page to review these messages. They can also choose, at their discretion, to forward appropriate messages to their mailing list.

  • To review the content of a blocked message, click on its subject line.
  • To post (forward) a message to the mailing list, click its post.
  • To remove messages, do nothing. Messages will automatically be removed after seven days.
