Using the List Tools:
Add (Subscribe) an Address to Your List

Use the "Add, Remove, and Search for Subscribers" option on the List Tool to add a new address. It is best, if possible, to copy and paste the address; be careful not to pick up any blank or extra characters on either side when doing copying. Then follow these instructions:
  1. Enter the user's e-mail address in the section labeled "Add someone."

  2. Select the appropriate format or mode: -L mode for individual messages or -D for digest mode (grouped messages).

  3. Click on the "Do it" button. You will instantly see a confirmation on your screen that your request is being processed.

  4. You will receive an e-mail containing a multigram from "Nobody@rootsweb.com." Compare the address you subscribed (shown in the right column), with the addresses in the left column of the multigram to verify that the address isn't a duplicate. Also look for variant domain addresses. Some service providers may alter their address slightly; for example, msn.com may show up as email.msn.com on the listing.

If it is a duplicate, delete one address from the subscriber's list. The person may have subscribed in another format (-L or -D), which won't show up on a multigram. Many will subscribe in both formats; don't unsubscribe duplicates in those instances.

  5. If you receive a message (bounce) from the subscriber's service provider, you may need to take additional actions (including unsubscribing the address). For an explanation of bounces and for instructions on what actions to take, click here.
