Using the List Tools:
Change Administrator's Address or Password


The "Change List Admin Address or Password" section of the List Tools is used to do the following:
  • Update the administrator's contact address. If your former e-mail address is going to remain active and you want to post messages from that address, add it to the accept list using the "Edit Files" function of the List Tools. That will enable you to post to the list using that address without getting additional copies of the list's mail.

  • Change your password to allow you to access List Tools.

  • Transfer control of the list. The transfer can be temporary or permanent. For permanent changes, fill in the new administrator's e-mail address and check "yes" in the box that asks if the change is permanent.

    The new administrator will receive a confirmation letter advising them of the change. This person should change the password once the transfer has been made, if the change is permanent.
