GEDCOM
GEDCOM is an acronym for GEnealogical Data COMmunications. Within the WorldConnect Project, "GEDCOM" indicates an individual family tree or file. A more detailed explanation of what a GEDCOM is, and how it is used within the WorldConnect Project, is available here.

column These instructions are for PAF 4.0. Remember, this process will create a new file; it will not erase or replace your current file.

  1. Open your PAF file.
  2. Select Export under the File menu.
  3. Choose Standard under the GEDCOM menu.
  4. You may choose to export all individuals in a file or select groups to export.
  5. Your file is ready to be submitted to the WorldConnect Project.
